Cutting the Strings

So I have realized lately that I have a few attachement issues, thanks to Matt pointing them out. Madi is 2 1/2 and last night was our first night without the baby monitor. We moved her out of the nursery into the other room to get the nursery ready for the baby and Matt said the monitor could not go with her. I was so sad, he asked if I was going to keep it on her until she was a teenager? Rude! No, I just like the comfort of being able to hear her and make sure that she is okay. Needless to say everything went well and she made it through the night just fine without the monitor (I only checked on her 3 times in the night).
I guess it is just hard to let my little girl grow up. She is so excited for her new room and her "big girl" bed. Last night she got her play phone, jumped on her bed and said "I texting mom." .... Really!!! But she wouldn't hold still long enough for me to grab the camera, I was able to get an okay picture with my cell phone.
She is so funny! It seems that she always surprises me when it comes to change- I think that it will be hard for her but it turns out, mom has a harder time with it!

LOL, what's wrong with having the baby monitor active until she's a teenager? You may just want to what's going on then!

That is so funny that you still had the baby monitor on. I never used mine, Tyce is loud. It is so hard letting them grow up.

Are you ready for the new baby??

She likes to do it real so i have to dial my moms number and she just types away and then sends it! It is so funny!

I did the same thing with the monitor, we would have our friends come over and they would tease me so bad about it. I used it with Ky until he was about the same age and the only reason I stopped is it finally broke. I think using them as there teenagers is not a bad idea though!!! Hope the pregnancy is going good for you !

That is funny. I am glad that I am not the only one who uses the monitor for that long.

What's funny, is that Cooper got a new bedroom set, and we moved him down stairs. It drove me MAD, I dug out my baby moniter, and hit it in his room so I could hear what was going on also. Everyone, made fun of me and Dustin said I was over the top!! Guys just don't understand, hee hee hee
