Mother's Day Weekend and more......

We got to spend Mother's Day weekend in Emery County and had a great long weekend. We headed down Thursday night and came back on Monday. Friday my mom took off of work and we just hung out and visited. I have started running and didn't want to break my routine so Friday morn me, my dad and Matt all went for a run around Huntington Lake. It was so beautiful and felt so good. My Dad definitely showed me up! I might add that it is alot different running on gravel and dirt then on the treadmill :)

Saturday I got to hang with the boys again and we went to the gun range for some much needed practice! After we were done shooting our handguns, it was time to break out the big one! My Dad brought a 50 Cal rifle that was huge and very intimidating! So I put my big girl pants on and stepped up to the plate (blanket) and gave it a shot. First I shot it at 100 yds and hit my target right between the eyes, next we shot it at 1000 yds and I hit the 6 in metal target right on! (I was the ONLY one to hit it, thank you very much) I have to say I was a bit proud of myself and did a little victory yell ;)

Here is a picture of the 50 cal bullet that I shot. Look how big it is compared to the normal 40 cal bullet that I shoot!

Sunday we had the pleasure of listening to my parents speak in sacrament. They did such a great job and are such great examples. I love them so much. Madi made me the cutest little flower in Primary and was so proud. Sunday night My grandparents came over and we all enjoyed a fabulous meal and time together. It was such a great weekend and I loved spending it with family, I love them to death. I especially love my mom and what a great example she is to me. There is no greater blessing than being a Mother and my mom is great at it! I hope you all had a great Mother's Day.

Madi reading to Brekker (Look at how his little feet and crossed and his hands clenched, he does it all the time and it is my favorite)

Brekker is now 14 mo and walking. This last week he has just really taken off. At first he walked like a little sumo wrestler now he sticks his little belly out, shrugs his shoulders and takes off like he is on a mission. He is so funny to watch and makes me laugh all the time. He refuses to walk on the grass in fear that he might fall and have to touch it :) Madi is a great big sister and is enjoying that he is more mobile.
