Christmas 2009

What Santa brought Madi
What Santa brought Brekker

Madi's new Ariel dress-up
Brekker was only intersted in the wrapping paper. He perferred the tissue paper because it disolved faster :) It seems that we spent most of the day getting things out of his mouth.
Syd's new gun
"Cheese"
Brekker trying to get the meat off of the bone that Grama gave him. He loved it and threw a huge fit when we took it away.
Madi's new dirty look. She was so funny, she kept giving this look all day. I think that she just thought that is was fun.
Madi testing out her new jeep. If you ask me, she needs alot of practice :)
Taking cousin Avery for a ride. I think that her driving scared Avery because Avery started crying right after I took this picture.
Brekker thinking that he is so big.

Ty and I having a "nerf" gun fight. Madi and Ryter said that they were our "dogs." They did a good job "fetching"the darts :)
Kelsi trying to pronounce the name on the present :)
Madi opening the purse that Aunt Kelsi made her.
What a great Christmas we had! We were fortunate enough this year to get to spend the holiday with all of our family. Christmas Eve, mine and Matt's Parents came to our house and stayed until Christmas night. Christmas day, Matt's Sister and her family came for dinner and to open presents. It was definitely a full house but we loved it.
Madi and Brekker were completely spoiled. I think that I need a bigger house now to fit all of their new toys. Madi got everything that she asked for and more!
The day after Christmas we made a trip to Green River to visit with my grandparents and to see my family that were visiting from Tennessee. It was a quick trip but we enjoyed seeing and visiting with everyone.

9 Months

Brekker is starting so show his little personality and it is so much fun. This is his "duck face."
He will push his lips out and just sit there with this look on his face.
Brekker's first hair cut
The finished look
I can't believe that my baby is 9 months old already. He is such a great boy and such a joy. He is always so happy and always has a smile for you. He is still not crawling but has figured out how to role and scoot his way around. He especially likes to make his way to the Christmas tree and the presents :) He can wave by-by, sign "more" and he moves his head from side to side when music comes on, trying to dance like sister. He is definitely a growing and healthy boy, he weighs 23 lbs- all solid muscle and is 29 in long :) We are so blessed to have him in our lives- We love you Brekker!

Christmas Dance Recital

My cute little dancer

Kelsi bringing Madi some flowers from
Grama Fanny since she couldn't make it.
Ta Da
Mad is the one in the back. She is suppose to be sitting on the mat with the other girls while the older girls danced. But she thought that she was just as good and did their dance with them :)

Madi had her very first dance recital last Saturday. She was very excited and did such a great job. She acted so grown up. When we got there that night she ran up on the stage without her costume because she was so excited. She begged me to let her go up behind the stage to be with the "big" kids before it started. She was so brave and is a great little dancer. I am so proud of her.

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas

My Beautiful Snow Angel
Last weekend we took a trip to Ogden to visit Matt's parents. While there we made some Christmas sugar cookies. Madi was very helpful in decorating. She used the whole bottle of sprinkles on just one cookie :) Her tongue after licking the excess sprinkles off the counter While at Grama's we got a visit from a very special friend, Santa. Brekker was not quite sure what to think but was very big at sitting on his lap.Madi on the other hand, did not want anything to do with his lap. I finally got her to sit on my leg next to him and tell him what she wanted.
Madi's list:
Barbies, a Jeep and a kintar (guitar)
At the end Madi finally warmed up to santa and yelled out the door after him. "I love you Santa!" It was so cute.
Thanks Santa for the awesome visit :)

My Sweet Madi

Mom: "Madi your fingernails grow so fast."
Madi: "That' because I am getting to be a mom and you are getting to be a grandma."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Madi: "Mom, dad said that I can have a kintar (guitar). Lets go to Warmart and get one."
Mom: "Maybe Santa will bring you one for Christmas."
Madi: (sad)"Mom, santa doesn't have a kintar"
Mom: "Yes, maybe Santa and the elves can make you one."
Madi: "Santa and the shelves don't know how too!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Madi: "I had a beaver last night." (pause) "Mom, remember I had a beaver!"
Mom: (confused) "You did?"
Madi: "Yeah remember......you gave me medicine for it!
Mom: "It's called a fever honey."

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we went to my parents house for Thanksgiving and to spend the whole weekend with them. All of the guys wanted to go down on the Bookcliffs and Henry Mountains to look for deer so we had our Thanksgiving Dinner wed night so that the men could go on their outing on Thursday."Cheers" to Madi and Ryter
Brekker enjoying so Banana Cream Pie thanks to Pa :)
Me and Dad
While the men were gone on their outing, the girls decided to be a little crafty. Kelsi and I made these stocking, which I think turned out really cute.
Brekker and Will playing
Madi writing her letter to santa
"Dear Santa, I have been a really good girl this year. Please bring me some barbies, a barbie car, a jeep, two night gowns and a kintar (guitar)."
Love, Madi
Mailing her letter to the North Pole
While putting up my moms Christmas decorations, we came across the santa suit that my mom used for her preschool. Madi had to try it on her and her duckie. Her duckie was the "shelf" (elf :)
Watch out Santa, you have some competition :)

After a very fun and busy weekend, Brekker and Papa were tuckered out :)

Thank you to ALL of my family for being so great and always being there for us. We are so thankful and blessed to have you in our lives.

Our Cruise to the Bahamas!

Beware of Picture Overload!

It finally came and went way too fast! Matt and I left for Miami on Sunday and boarded the Cruise Ship Monday morning. Tuesday we made our first stop in Nassua Bahamas, which I have to say was my least favorite. We toured the shops and then took a taxi ride over to paradise island to tour the Atlantis Resort which was beautiful! Leaving Miami Yes, that is a machine gun on the front of their boat! Boy,do I feel Safe!Atlantis Resort
The building that is making the arch is the Michael Jackson Suite.
It goes for $25,000 per night with a minimum of 4 nights. Wowsers!
It is booked for the next 5 years.
The Aquarium at the Atlantis Outside of the Atlantis Resort Our formal dinner night on the cruise. We had such fun couples at our table.
Coco Cay- Royal Caribeans private island
Wenesday we ported in Coco Cay, which was my favorite stop. The beaches and water were beautiful and it was so relaxing. We swam in the ocean and collected sea shells for Madi then went to an island bbq and rented a kayak and toured the island. It was a nice relaxing day-ahhh
Our Cruise ship from the islandKey West, FL Thursday we ported in Key West to wind, cold and rain. We made the walk in the rain to the southernmost point in the USA and then toured the shops and made a stop to experience our fist tast of keylime pie, which was yummy! We then went deep sea fishing off the coast of Key West and caught some record breaking fish ; )
Because of the weather we couldn't go after the big fish so we spent our afternoon catching these cuties! No- I'm not scared to touch the fish! Their fins are razor sharp and you have to hold them with a towel so you don't get cut. Our cruise ship at Key WestWe had such a great time and enjoyed every minute of it. The Cruise was great and they had some really good shows each night. Matt even participated in one of them and was the "hit" of the show. We relaxed alot and ate way too much! I am ready to go on another vacation, but this time with the kids. We missed them a tons! Thanks to the grandparents that watched them we really appreciate it and love you! Now to a week of grandparents detoxing to get them back to normal :)
