28 And Life is Great!

Yes, I am officially 28 years old today. I remember when my cousin turned 28 and I thought that it was so old and now I am there:) I have to say that it really is not that old! I have had a great 28 years and am so blessed. I have a wonderful husband and bestfriend, 2 beautiful and healthy children and great family and friends that are always there for me. I could not be happier with were I am at in my life.
So here is to a great year of being 28!

Here is my beautiful present that Matt wrapped. Notice the wrapping paper :) and the detail he put into cutting the ends of the ribbon. He is so sweet, this year I actually got written words in my card and not the usual "Love, Matt" :)

And I got a cover for my IPod

Madi told me all day that she could not sing me happy birthday because I didn't have a cake. So she and Matt decided to make me a birthday cake. Madi wanted to make me a purple cake with a purple ballerina on it :)

This wonderful baker then baked up this..........

A pink monkey (Well it is suppose to be) :)

Unfortunately I was very sick with a sinus viral infection so I was in bed most of the day (that is why I look so georgeous :) But Matt and the kids tried and made it a very fun and memorable day. They are so great!!!

11 Months

It is hard to think that in 3 weeks, my little guy is going to turn one. He is such a funny kid and has a very big personality. He is crawling all over the place and getting into everything. He now has 7 teeth, 4 on top and 3 on bottom. He loves food and thinks that he can eat anything that we are. He loves his big sister and gets so excited when he see's her. He loves to follow her around and try to do everything that she does.
Brekker's new favorite thing is to crawl to the door stops and hit them so that they wobble and make noise. He willl do it long enough that they come unscrewed and then he crawls around chewing on them.
Brekker "enjoying" a door stop :)

Sledding

Brekker and Me getting warm in the truck

This past weekend Matt was off of work and did not have any travel plans,So Matt and I decided to take the kids on their first (yes I know we are bad) sledding trip of the season. Madi had such a fun time and kept wanting to go again and again. She was even brave enough to go down the hill by herself. Brekker enjoyed it at first and then it got too cold for him so he got to hang out in the truck while Matt and I took turns sledding with Madi.

"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball's"

I am so ready for this FREEZING Winter to be over with. I feel like we have not been able to do very many fun things with the kids this year because it has been so cold. The other day I was feeling like I wasn't a very fun mom, so thanks to my friend, I came up with an idea to have a "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball's" Party. Madi and I made some spagetti and meatballs invitations and delivered them to her friends.

Madi's invitations :)

On the day of the party Madi and I made spagetti and meatball's for her and her friends for lunch.

All of her friends (yes, ALL boys) were able to make it to the party. They enjoyed spagetti and meatballs and then they watched "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball.s"

Madi was so excited for her party, she would ask every day how many more days until her party. She had a great time and wants to know when we can have another party :)The kids watching the movie. Don't mind Madi's outfit, she picked it out herself :) That was outfit #2 out of 3 that day and they got crazy each time :)

10 Months

I know that I am behind in posting this and I can't believe that in less than TWO months my baby is going to be ONE! Brekker has such a fun and loving personality. He is crawling all over the place and is starting to pull himself up. He is starting to get his top front teeth which will be helpful since he thinks he can now eat ALL foods :) He has become quite the attention seeker and does not want you to leave his sight. He loves to give slobbery, wet kisses and will every once in awhile still give me snuggles.
Brekker is now off of formula and is on whole milk and solids. I decided to take him off of formula on my own. Brekker has had constipation since he started formula and the Dr's out here keep telling me the SAME thing and telling me to give it time! Well I decided that 7 months was a long enough time so we are starting with this and if it doesn't help we will move on and go up North to another Dr. to try to figure it out.
Just look and those kissable, chubby cheeks :)
Madi loves her little brother :)

Adventures out there!

Madi's new favorite movie is "UP." She loves it and could watch it everyday if I would let her. The movie is about a little boy and older man that go on an adventure. In the movie the little boy wears goggles and says with his thumb up "Adventures out there!"
For Christmas Madi got a Tinker Bell eye mask and now calls it her goggles. She wants to wear them all the time even when we go out. She will just put it across her forehead and say that she has her goggles on and say "Adventures out there!"
On Saturday, I went in to see if she had fallen alseep for her nap and this is what I saw. She is such a character, I love to watch her imagination grow :)
