Happy Birthday

It seems the older we get the more and more our birthday is just another day. Matt was in Vernal working for my birthday so it was just me and Madi hanging out and playing. Matt was so nice to send me flowers to work and it made my day. He is such a great husband!
Last week before he left we went to dinner to celebrate. I told Madi on our way to the resturant that we were going to go to dinner for mom's birthday. She then replied "we going to have cake?" I said no honey not today and then she said"Where are the balloons?"

Birthdays really aren't that fun when you are older, you can't even fool a 2 1/2 year old :)

Baby and Nursery Update

The cute nursery (almost complete)

We went to the doctor and he has decided that he will start me on the 16th of March unless the baby decides to come before then, which there is a good chance. We are kinda relieved that the doctor is going to start me that way we can make sure that Matt is back up here from Vernal (that is if everything goes as planned :) This pregnancy has been alot harder than my first and I am ready for it to be over. I am so excited to see our little guy! I am so uncomfortable and I feel like I am HUGE! It is getting very hard chasing a 2 1/2 year old around, or should I say waddeling :)

So since we are hoping to sell our house and move down with Matt, I have been putting off decorating the nursery. Since I only have 2 1/2 weeks until he comes we decided we better get things ready because he is coming if we are ready or not, and he is not going to time himself around the selling of our house. Last weekend while my mom and sisters were up we got the nursery ready, the clothes washed and now I am pretty much ready to go (thanks guys!). I feel like both the nursery and Madi's room are a modge podge of things but I don't want to spend time/or have time to paint and get all comfortable when I hope to be moving within the next two months.

Anyone need a Check up ?

On Monday Becky came up and brought Burke and Hartley to play. Madi and Burke decided to play doctor and I just had to show off how cute they were.

Burke told Madi he had a sore throat so instead on Madi looking in his mouth she kept trying to put it on is throat and Burke kept tipping his head so she would look in his mouth. It was so funny.

Weekend Fun

My Creativity put to the test
Madi and Ryter posing with my birthday cake

My yummy ice cream cake! Yes, it tasted as
good as it looks :)

Madi and her "beautiful beads"

My mom and sisters came up to spend the weekend with Madi and I while Matt was working. We had such a good time. It seems that we never have enough time to get everything done that we would like but we did have time to make hair bows, decorate the nursery (I'll post pics later) and celebrate my birthday. I love when they come and visit but I think Madi loves it even more. She loves her Grama "Fanny", Aunt Syd and Aunt Bug. She was really excited that they brought cousin Ry Ry to play.

Cutting the Strings

So I have realized lately that I have a few attachement issues, thanks to Matt pointing them out. Madi is 2 1/2 and last night was our first night without the baby monitor. We moved her out of the nursery into the other room to get the nursery ready for the baby and Matt said the monitor could not go with her. I was so sad, he asked if I was going to keep it on her until she was a teenager? Rude! No, I just like the comfort of being able to hear her and make sure that she is okay. Needless to say everything went well and she made it through the night just fine without the monitor (I only checked on her 3 times in the night).
I guess it is just hard to let my little girl grow up. She is so excited for her new room and her "big girl" bed. Last night she got her play phone, jumped on her bed and said "I texting mom." .... Really!!! But she wouldn't hold still long enough for me to grab the camera, I was able to get an okay picture with my cell phone.
She is so funny! It seems that she always surprises me when it comes to change- I think that it will be hard for her but it turns out, mom has a harder time with it!
