Christmas Pedicure

Madi's finished product

Kelsi's finished product

Being 28 weeks pregnant definitely has it's draw backs. Case in point, swollen feet! Kelsi does such a good job giving pedicures that I begged her to give me one to make my fat toes look cute. Madi being the big helper she is, had to join in.

A Snowy Day!

SOO proud of their "Buckethead" snowman

Madi chasing after Grama with
a snow ball.

Madi enjoying her icicle.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow! We definitely got to enjoy a "white" Christmas and the kids loved every minute of it. They had so much fun playing in it, we had to beg them with hot coco to come inside.

Merry Christmas!

We spent Christmas in Emery County with my family and had a great time. Madi had so much fun with all her presents and playing with cousin Ryter. Santa (Grama) brought her and Ryter a fisher price video bike that you plug into the TV. They played it so hard that they stipped the screw on the peddle. She loved all her toys especially the "castrader" (cash register) that Pa and Grama Ekker bought her. She is so funny!
She was such a joy to watch and I look forward to the years to come to see the all the joy in her eyes.

Making Christmas Treats

Madi went to Grandma B's to make some Christmas treats. She was such a good helper, especially when it came to taste testing.

A Visit from Santa

Madi had a visit from Santa on Friday night. She refused to sit on his lap but did tell him what she wanted for Christmas.

Madi's List:
Baby Iron man (a small figurine)
Play dough
Tinkerbell the movie

And for the baby: A Hippopotamus

I am so excited for this Christmas. It has been so much fun teaching and watching Madi learn about Jesus' birthday and Santa. She is such a joy!

Gum Thief!

Over Thanksgiving weekend My Mom and Syd came up to help me get our house ready to put on the market. While there, Syd kept her bags in Madi's room. Saturday night I looked in Madi's room to check on her before I went to bed. When I looked in her room I saw some little papers on her floor so I walked in her room and found an EMPTY pack of gum and gum wrappers. She had eaten about 10 pieces. I guess she needed a bedtime snack!

The next morning I showed her the empty pack and asked her what happened. She said "I ate it!" When I asked her where she got it, she stated with a smile, "in Syd's pack pack!"

You can't help but love them no matter what!

Studying

While we were at my moms house, Madi found some play glasses and thought she was so funny wearing them. We asked her to show the glasses to Lincoln. She went running in the bedroom and came out wearing them and had Syd's Scriptures in her hand. She sat herself down on the couch and began to read. It was so funny, she kept a serious face the intire time and did not want to even look at us.

Happy 50th Mom!

We had a surprise 50th birthday party for my mom at the mortuary. We had the hurst come and pick her up at the house and then we all followed behind in the procession. Once at the mortuary we had a program lined out and ate dinner. It was alot of fun and she was very surprised. We hope you had a great birthday mom. We Love You!

Sorry I don't have alot of pictures of it, Tyson took most of them.

Thankful

I know it has been awhile since I have blogged, so I will do a little catch-up! This Thanksgiving I am so thankful for my Wonderful family! I am blessed with a wonderful husband, an amazing daughter that never seizes to amaze me, and a healthy growing boy that we can't wait to meet! I have wonderful parents that are always willing to go out of their way for us, an awesome brother and two beautiful sisters that I admire and love dearly.

Matt and I have been very busy this past month getting ready to change paths. For those of you who don't know, I got a new job the end of Oct and Matt just got a job offer last week with the Highway Patrol. We will be moving to the Uintah Basin with in the next six months so we are busy trying to sell our house, find a new one and getting ready to have a baby. We are so thankful for this opportunity to follow our dreams and that it is getting us one step closer to "home."

Thank you all for being part of our lives!

My Big Girl Bed!

I finally got up the nerve to transition Madi's crib into a toddler bed. I was a little nervous thinking that she would just run out of her room if she didn't want to sleep but she has proved me wrong once again (I think it is one of her goals in life)! I don't now if she hasn't figured it out yet or she likes us coming to get her but she will still yell in the morning and after nap time "I'm up!" and wait for us to come and get her. She is such a character!

Pumpkin Carving

Madi loved carving pumpkins this year and loved playing with the slimey seeds.

Pumpkin Hay Ride

We went to a farm by our house to go for a hay ride. Madi had so much fun, she loved ALL the pumpkins!

Our new Addition!

We are expecting a new little bundle of joy the middle March and are sooo excited! I am 17 weeks along and am feeling it!!! This pregnancy is so different than the others. I am sick, tired and did I mention tired!!! But I wouldn't trade it for the world. I felt the baby move for the first time on Sunday and it made me remember how much I miss that feeling there is nothing else like it! Madi is so excited and is going to be a big help and a great big sister. She has named this baby "Simba" (off Lion King) and Matt's baby in his tummy is "Poomba." We have taken her with us tot he doctor appointments and she now wants to know when she can see her baby brother again. We will find out the gender on Nov. 3rd. We will keep you all informed!

A Wonderful Week!

Matt went deer hunting for the week so I took work off and Madi and I skipped town to go "home." Becky and Burke got to ride down with us and Madi and Burke loved watching what the other one was doing in their car seat. They play so well together, we enjoyed their company. We had such a fun filled week and enjoyed every minute of it! We went to the Carbon /Emery game and watched Syd dance, we had a girls night and went to the movies, we made Halloween cookies, went shooting with dad, celebrated Syd's 16th birthday and rode the mules, just to name a few. Madi loved riding the mules and liked telling "Donk" to gitty up! When we came home on Monday Madi cried to go back to Papa and Grama's house. It broke my heart she loves it so much down there and so do I!

Happy Birthday Syd!!!

Sydni turned the big 16 on the 29th and we had a surprise party for her. Her and her friends had a Bonn fire and watched a movie that we projected onto the side of the shed. She was so surprised and we had such a good time. We love you Syd!
